Our Organization
Teach for Speech is a student-run, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, registered with the Secretary of State of California. We were founded in March 2020 and seek to help younger students overcome their fear of public speaking. We aim to help them become confident leaders and changemakers in their communities. Our programs are entirely run by student volunteers who are passionate in both public speaking and community service.
Teach for Speech is now an international organization that has established operations and welcomed members across 7 US states and 7 countries. We're always looking for passionate individuals to join our team, so check us out and start a chapter!

"Hands-on" speakingPublic speaking shouldn't be taught by just letting students listen to speeches. Instead, the Teach for Speech curriculum places a heavy emphasis on allowing our students to improve their speaking skills and confidence through constant practice.

Free of chargeWe believe that all students should have the opportunity to practice their public speaking skills and gain confidence. Our program is completely free.

For students, by studentsOur volunteers are high school students who understand the elementary school systems they were once part of. For this reason, our program is tailored to the needs and interests of students.
